HOW TO REGISTER: 

  • If you are registering for the first time for the SAPI: Planning Africa Conference 2024, please click on the words "New Registration" to create your profile and password. 
  • Once you have registered and should you wish to amend your existing registration, please click on the words "Amend Existing Registration" and enter the email address and password used on initial registration. 
  • If you want to add an additional delegate to your existing registration please click on the words "New Registration" to add an additional delegate(s) and proceed with registering the delegate(s). Please note that if you try to access the existing booking to add an additional delegate(s), the booking system will change your existing booking.

  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Next" to proceed.
  • If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgotten your password?" link and follow the instructions.  You need to enter the email address you used on initial registration and click "Reset password". The email to reset your password will come from "EventsAIR". 

If you do not find it in your inbox, please check your spam folder, junk or clutter mailboxes to retrieve it.  The system will send you a link.  Click the link to change your password.  Enter a new password and re-enter the password to confirm.  Click the button to confirm.  Return to the registration page to re-enter the registration system.

  • Payment can only be made when you have completed the entire registration process.
  • An invoice will automatically be generated and sent to the registered e-mail address.

Billing Address

The venue only purchases from Halaal Certified suppliers but does have a liquor licence and sells alcohol. Should any delegates require Halaal or Kosher meals to be brought in a surcharge per meal is applicable for the delegates’ own account. Please advise the organisers in advance of your requirements. 

There will be a dedicated Vegetarian buffet station.

CONFERENCE TECHNICAL TOUR

 

Tour Itinerary:

The tours will take place on Sunday 18th October 2024 from 10:00 am and are expected to take no longer than four hours.

Tour registration will open at 9.00 and will take place in the foyer area of the Elangeni Hotel on the ground level.  The tour bus departs from the Hotel at 10.00 sharp.

 

Bookings & Costs:

·       Seats on the tour are limited and will be booked on first come first serve basis.

·       To book your seat, please make a selection below and make payment.

·       The cost of the tour is R R650 per person and includes refreshments and a snack lunch.  A pre-paid parking voucher for parking at the Elangeni Hotel also included.

 

What to bring:

·       Comfortable walking shoes, a hat and clothing that is ideal for the weather.

·       Given that’s its Durban’s raining season, an umbrella or jacket would also be a god idea.

·       Water and a small snack and project folder will be provided.

Registration terms & conditions 1)Registration will only be validated if all dues are paid prior to the event. Attendance will only be allowed, after receipt of payment/verification of presented proof of payment. 2)Relevant & discounted rates are only extended to individual members in good standing, full time students, or in line with pre-negotiated participation packages/benefits for groups, sponsors, or exhibitors. 3)A submitted registration is taken as a firm commitment to attend. In the event of non-attendance, the delegate will be held liable for payment of the full amount. No refunds are payable for non-attendance. 4)All payments are to be made directly to provided account number. 5)All cancellations or substitutions must be received in writing. No telephonic cancellations or substitutions will be accepted. A cancellation administration fee of R 325.00 (inclusive of VAT) is payable to the appointed registration service provider for the event. 6)No cancellation and no refunds will be accepted after 15 May 2024. Full registration fees are due after this date. 7)Substitutions can be facilitated at an administration fee of R325.00 (inclusive of VAT), payable before substitution is administrated. 8)SAPI, or its agents, cannot be held liable for the postponement or cancellation of the event due to circumstance beyond its control. Circumstances include, but are not limited to, political or non-political unrest, floods, natural disasters, unsafe environments, or any Force Majeure circumstances. 9)All bank charges are for the delegates account to pay.

What happens next? Once your application has been received and processed:
• An invoice with the banking details will be forwarded to you.
• Payment can be made by Credit Card, Bank/Electronic Transfer, Cash deposit. Purchase Orders will NOT be accepted.
• Please note that if payments incur bank charges, these will be for your own account.
• Full payment for these charges is required before your registration is fully confirmed.
• Please ensure any bank transfer makes clear reference to the payment reference number stipulated on your invoice.
• Once payment has been made, kindly email through proof of payment to the Secretariat, c/o The Conference Company. Email: finance@confco.co.za
• An official receipt will be provided on confirmation of payment.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:
If your transaction is not successful and you receive an error message, please advise us of the error message code, so that we can follow up with the bank as to the possible reason for this.

Since this is a secure site, it uses 3D Domain Security and if your card is not 3D secured, you may receive an error code 255.   In this event, please contact your bank, VISA or MasterCard directly and ask them for more information on how to 3D Secure your card.  Alternatively we would ask that you make payment by EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) instead.

Below is a brief explanation as to what 3D Domain Security is:
3D Domain Securityis a method of security mandated by the Credit Card Associations to enhance the security of online transactions. MasterCard's product is called "SecureCode" (the three numbers on the reverse side of the credit card) and VISA's product is called "Verified by Visa".

Very simply, the system authenticates the cardholder before the transaction takes place by diverting the browser to the bank that issued the card, who then request some secret, perhaps a pin code, from their cardholder that will conclusively prove that this actually is the cardholder entitled to use this card. Once they are satisfied that this is their cardholder they issue an authentication receipt which is then presented to the merchants bank along with the authorisation request. If the transaction is then approved by the issuing bank, they may not charge the transaction back to the merchant because the cardholder disputes the transaction as not being originated by them.
