  • If you are registering for the first time for the Conservation Symposium, please click on the words "Create a new user account" to create your profile and password. 
  • Once you have registered and should you wish to amend your existing registration, please click on the words "Sign in with your existing account" and enter the email address and password you used when you first used the registration system.

  • Social Sign In: Should you wish to Login with your Facebook or Twitter Account, please click on the words "Social Sign In".
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Continue to register" to proceed.
  • If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgotten your password?" link and follow the instructions.  You need to enter the email address you used when you first used the registration system, and click on "Reset password". The email to reset your password will come from "EventsAIR". 

If you do not find it in your inbox, please check your spam, junk or clutter mailboxes to retrieve it.  The system will send you a link.  Click the link to change your password.  Enter a new password and re-enter the password to confirm.  Click the button to confirm.  Return to the registration page to re-enter the registration system.

  • Payment can only be made when you have completed the entire registration process.
  • An invoice will automatically be generated and sent to the e-mail address provided during registration.

The Conference Company (CONFCO) and The Conservation Symposium are committed to protecting the privacy of all personal data you provide us, when registering to attend this symposium. The following statements describe clearly how we will use your personal data, how long we store it so you are fully informed prior to you submitting your personal information for event registration.

By registering, you agree to the “ordinary” personal data you provide with the other delegates who will attend the symposium, to enable effective networking and business exchanges to take place, including on the official Symposium App. Personal data on all delegates will be retained on the registration system/ APP for 1 year, for the purpose of enabling delegates to easily contact one another after the event is over, other parties who did not attend the symposium will not be able to access your personal data.

Photography and video material

Pictures and videos taken at the symposium could be reproduced in future, news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including social media and the CONFCO/The Conservation Symposium websites.



CONFCO/ The Conservation Symposium  reserves the right to crop, splice, treat and edit any imagery or photographs taken at CONFCO/ The Conservation Symposium events.  The participant waives the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy. Additionally, all right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to use of the name, photograph or biography are waived by the Participant, Participant’s agents or employees. All photographs and video materials taken at CONFCO/ The Conservation Symposium become the property of CONFCO/ The Conservation Symposium. CONFCO/ The Conservation Symposium related materials may not be photographed, drawn, copied or reproduced without CONFCO/The Conservation Symposium written permission


Naturally, Participants always have the right for their picture to be removed. Should you wish to have your picture or video removed, please contact us and we will take action accordingly.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Payment of the Early Bird registration must be received by The Conservation Symposium by no later than 30 September 2023.
  2. Payments that have not been received by 30 September will result in the Early Bird booking being converted to the standard registration fee.
  3. Student registrations: Apart from detailing student numbers and tertiary information upon registrations, delegates that have registered as students, must be a current student in 2023.
  4. Retiree Registrations: Should be of 60 years or older and you are no longer full time employed.
  5. Participants who cancel before 30 September 2023 will be entitled to a 50% refund of their registration fee. No refunds are possible for cancellations received after 30 September 2023.
  6. A participant who cancels may as the Symposium Secretariat to transfer the registration to a colleague. A fee of 10% of the registration fee is charged for the replacements/ transfers.
  7. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Symposium Secretariat, c/o The Conference Company (kimera@confco.co.za), in order to receive any possible reimbursement.
  8. 15% VAT is included in the fee.
  9. Any bank charges for international transfers shall be borne by the delegates. 
  10. Refunds will be processed after the conference accounts have been reconciled and on receipt of a written request sent to the Symposium Secretariat (kimera@confco.co.za).
  11. Refunds for no-shows are not possible.
  12. Until payment has been received, registration for the Symposium and any of its associated events cannot be confirmed and without confirmed registration, participants will not be listed in the programme or in the list of participants.

Registration Terms and Conditions: The Symposium organisers have taken all reasonable care in making arrangements for The Conservation Symposium 2023. In the event of unforeseen disruptions, neither the Symposium Secretariat nor The Conservation Symposium can be held responsible for any losses incurred by participants. The programme is correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of printing, but organisers reserve the right to alter the programme if and when deemed necessary. The Conference Company acts as an agent only in securing hotels, transport and travel services, and shall in no event be liable for acts or omissions in the event of injury, damage, loss accident, delay or irregularity of any kind whatsoever during arrangements organized through contractors or by the employees of such contractors. Hotel and transportation services are subject to the terms and conditions under which they are offered to the general public. Participants should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance including appropriate health insurance. The Symposium Secretariat reserves the right to make changes as and when deemed necessary, without prior notice to the parties concerned. All disputes are subject to resolution under South African Law. All accommodation, symposium and other arrangements are subject to alteration and cancellation at any time without prior notice, due to factors that are outside of the organisers’ reasonable control. This will be at the sole and absolute discretion of the organisers. Should such events, such as Force Majeure, render the organisers unable to deliver such service, the organisers shall not be held responsible. The organisers cannot be held responsible for any damages, and/or costs, whatsoever arising from any such alteration or cancellation. The Conservation Symposium plans to take photographs and video recordings at The Conservation Symposium 2023, South Africa and reproduce them in The Conservation Symposium educational, news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including the The Conservation Symposium website. By participating in the The Conservation Symposium 2023 S, you grant The Conservation Symposium the right to use your name, photograph and biography for such purposes. All postings become the property of The Conservation Symposium. Postings may be displayed, distributed or used by The Conservation Symposium for any purpose.

Payment

You can pay either by credit card or EFT/bank transfer.
If you wish to pay by credit card, please select the ‘Online credit card payment’ option below and follow the instructions. Please note that we only accept MasterCard and VISA.

What happens next? Once your registration has been received and processed: 
• An invoice with the banking details for the conference will be sent to you.
• Payment can be made via credit card, bank/electronic transfer, cash deposit.
• Please note that if payments incur bank charges, these will be for each participant’s own account.
• Full payment for these charges is required before your registration is fully confirmed.
• Please ensure any bank transfer makes clear reference to the invoice reference number.
• Once payment has been made, kindly email through proof of payment to the Conference Secretariat, c/o The Conference Company email: finance@confco.co.za 
• An official receipt will be provided on confirmation of payment. 

Should the conference banking details not be listed on your company/organization’s database kindly ensure all relevant documents are sent to finance@confco.co.za for completion. Please ensure you use the following subject line when sending the documents “(TCS2023) – (Delegate Name): Vendor Form”.

Credit Card Payments

   


Should you wish to pay via credit card, please note only Visa and Master Card will be accepted. 

Note: to protect its own and the interests of customers, The Conference Company scrutinizes all transactions very carefully to prevent attempted fraud and a transaction may be refused if The Conference Company is not satisfied with its legitimacy. In addition, as you enter your credit card number, name and address on The Conservation Symposium website, it is encrypted as a secret code for its virtual journey. An encrypted code is virtually illegible and indecipherable as it travels from destination to destination.


IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:
If your transaction is not successful and you receive an error message, please advise us of the error message code, so that we can follow up with the bank as to the possible reason for this.

Since this is a secure site, it uses 3D Domain Security and if your card is not 3D secured, you may receive an error code 255.   In this event, please contact your bank, VISA or MasterCard directly and ask them for more information on how to 3D Secure your card.  Alternatively we would ask that you make payment by EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) instead.

Below is a brief explanation as to what 3D Domain Security is:
3D Domain Securityis a method of security mandated by the Credit Card Associations to enhance the security of online transactions. MasterCard's product is called "SecureCode" (the three numbers on the reverse side of the credit card) and VISA's product is called "Verified by Visa".

Very simply, the system authenticates the cardholder before the transaction takes place by diverting the browser to the bank that issued the card, who then request some secret, perhaps a pin code, from their cardholder that will conclusively prove that this actually is the cardholder entitled to use this card. Once they are satisfied that this is their cardholder they issue an authentication receipt which is then presented to the merchants bank along with the authorisation request. If the transaction is then approved by the issuing bank, they may not charge the transaction back to the merchant because the cardholder disputes the transaction as not being originated by them.
